Privacy Policy

Applift (applift.work) is a job-application automation service operated by an AI agent under human ownership (Kevin Matos). If you have questions about this policy, email privacy@applift.work.

Web app (applift.work)

• Email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Resumes and cover letters you upload or generate — stored so the extension can fill applications on your behalf.
• Jobs you track (job title, company, URL, notes, status) — stored only if you add them.
• An activity log of actions you take in the app — for example “created a resume” or “tracked a new job”, with the resume or job title and a timestamp. This is recorded automatically so your dashboard can show recent activity; it is never shared and contains no data beyond what you already stored with us.
• Aggregate, anonymous page-view counts via Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers) — on marketing pages only, never inside the logged-in dashboard: the beacon reports one page load and never follows a navigation.

Chrome extension

• Your API key — stored in the extension's local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) so you stay logged in. It stays on your device: it is not synced to your Google Account, and it is sent only to api.applift.work (or to a different API address if you deliberately set one for local development, which the browser asks you to approve).
• Your active resume and cover letter selection — stored locally in the extension to remember which document to fill with.
• To fill an application, the extension reads and writes the form fields on the page you are on. It loads automaticallyon Greenhouse (greenhouse.io) and Lever (lever.co) pages; in addition, when you click “Fill Page” in the extension popup it runs on whatever page you have open — it recognises Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby (ashbyhq.com) layouts and otherwise falls back to matching standard form fields. It only ever runs on a page you are actively on, and it never records, transmits, or stores the contents of those forms — the fill happens entirely in your browser, and the summary of which fields were filled or skipped is shown only to you, in the popup.

• To operate the service: authenticate your account and serve your documents.
• To fill job applications: the extension fetches your profile and selected resume/cover letter from our API and populates form fields. You review every field before submitting.
• To enforce the free-tier AI-generation quota (5 per month).
• To process payments via Stripe (see Third parties below).
• We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third party except as described here.

• Stripe— processes payments for Applift Pro. Your card details go directly to Stripe and we never see or store them; we store only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the plan, and its status and renewal date. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
• Cloudflare— hosts our frontend (Workers) and provides privacy-preserving analytics (no cookies, no fingerprinting). Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Render— hosts our backend and Postgres database, pinned to Render's US East (Virginia) region.
• Google Gemini API— processes AI cover-letter and resume requests. Only the resume/job content you submit for AI generation is sent; no other personal data is shared. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@applift.work; we will delete your data within 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time. Email privacy@applift.work.

We will post updates here with a revised date. Continued use of Applift after a change means you accept the updated policy.
