How it works
From one saved resume to a filled Greenhouse form — in five steps.
- 1
Save your resume once
Upload your resume to Applift. It stays in your account and is never sent anywhere without your action.
- 2
Tailor it to the role
Paste the Greenhouse job description. Applift rewrites your resume to highlight the experience the role actually asks for.
- 3
Open the Greenhouse application
Navigate to the Greenhouse job page as normal. The Applift Chrome extension detects it automatically.
- 4
Click — fields fill instantly
One click in the extension fills your name, email and phone, and pastes your saved resume and cover letter into Greenhouse's text fields.
- 5
Review every field, then submit
Check the filled form. Edit anything that needs a personal touch. When you're satisfied, you click submit — Applift never submits on your behalf.
Why Greenhouse applications are worth automating
Greenhouse is one of the most widely used applicant tracking systems (ATS) in the industry. Thousands of companies — from Series A startups to large enterprises — route their external job postings through Greenhouse. If you're applying to more than a handful of roles, there's a good chance many of them will land on a Greenhouse form.
The frustrating part: every Greenhouse application asks for the same things. Your name, your email, your phone number, and your resume pasted in again — data you've typed dozens of times. That is the part Applift fills, so your energy goes to what actually varies: the cover letter, the portfolio link, the "tell us something unique" question.
Applift also pairs autofill with resume tailoring. Before you fill the form, you can ask Applift to rewrite your resume to match the specific role — so the version of your experience that reaches the recruiter is the one most relevant to what they're hiring for.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Applift submit the application automatically?
- No. Applift fills the form fields; you review them and click submit yourself. Every application that goes out is one you consciously sent.
- Which Greenhouse fields does it fill?
- First name, last name, email and phone, plus your saved resume and cover letter pasted into Greenhouse's "enter manually" text boxes. It does not fill work history, education, LinkedIn URL, screening questions or essay prompts — those are yours to answer.
- Does it work with every Greenhouse-powered job posting?
- Applift works with standard Greenhouse application forms. Some employers customize their forms in ways that can affect field detection; review the filled form before submitting.
- Does it work on Lever?
- Yes — Lever is also supported today.
- Is my resume data safe?
- Your resume is stored in your Applift account. It is never sold, and never shared with an employer unless you fill and submit a form yourself. When you ask Applift to tailor a resume or draft a cover letter, that text is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the result — that is the one third party it reaches, and it is listed in our privacy policy. The browser extension sends nothing anywhere: Chrome restricts it to Applift's own API, and it only ever writes into the form.
